  Langara English for Academic Purposes (LEAP) is an intensive English program that prepares non-English native speakers for full-time study at English-medium colleges and universities. Instead of teaching individual skills, LEAP uses an integrated approach to language learning. The program uses a comprehensive methodology, focusing on interesting and relevant topics, to integrate speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. LEAP students will engage in practical communication activities through a content-based curriculum. This approach creates a dynamic, student-centered learning environment where students acquire language in a natural and meaningful way. Through the LEAP program, students will learn to access classroom content in the same way as Canadian students whose native language is English, and will develop the academic skills to help them succeed. while studying in Canada.
